You’ll see a notification that describes where the screenshot is saved. You can also take a screenshot by pressing Windows Key and Print Screen together to save the entire computer screen as an image. To find your screenshot, you need to go to pictures and then a subfolder called “Screenshots”.
- After some time, you may find that there are too many apps on the computer.

Microsoft is updating inbox apps to include Windows 11 visuals. That means that it’s adding a whole bunch of rounded corners to things like Calculator. There are also new, more colorful icons throughout the operating system. You’ll find these in the more modern File Explorer, Device Manager, and pretty much anywhere else. These are available in Windows 10 previews, and they make for a pretty big visual change on their own.
These will be reliable builds tied to a future release with updates validated by Microsoft. Closer to launch, Windows 11 22H2 will hit the ‘Release Preview Channel’ which is the most stable of all in the Insider Program. Builds released to this channel are supported by Microsoft. Have all released pages online that specify what devices are Windows 11 ready. Note that many won’t come with the new operating system installed, but as they all meet the minimum system requirements, you can simply buy the laptop or 2-in-1 as normal and then update it yourself. HDR will also be supported on compatible machines, offering improved lighting and contrast for gaming and viewing media.
Windows 10 Mobile is receiving September 2019 update
Windows 10 brought us Snap Assist, and Windows 11 download is bringing us Snap Layouts and Snap Groups. In Windows 11, you can hover over the maximize button, and you’ll be presented with layout options. There’s also a new toolbar for basic photo editing, but more notable is a “filmstrip” that appears across the bottom. This lets you easily scroll through the other images in your album or library. Also, as you can see above, there’s a multi-view option where you can see more than one image at once. It’s adding collections to help you to find more apps, and there’s a “pop-up store” that will manage installations when you try to install apps that come from the web.
Sometimes this can result in system instability, driver and performance issues, and in severe cases, hard crashes and the inability to boot into Windows 11. Updates can sometimes lead to software incompatibility, as well, particularly when a Feature update is installed. So, if you’ve been troubleshooting system issues and nothing has worked, rolling back Windows 11 may be the solution. Microsoft will release periodic updates to Windows 11.
Do I really need to update Windows?
Perhaps you’re saving a copy of a receipt as a digital file. Or you need to show something weird on your screen that makes you think your computer is acting up to tech support. Or you want to capture the participants on a Zoom conference call. Taking a screenshot is a very useful tool, but it’s not always obvious how to do it. Although there are apps you can use to take and make notes on screenshots for your computer, Microsoft Windows has built-in options as well. Here are the two most-used ways to take a screenshot.
For instance, required radio buttons and edit fields will now be read out as required, and more information about lists, including list levels and accurate list indices will now be readout. Some of the new commands include “Show keyboard” to open the touch keyboard, “Hide keyboard” to close the touch keyboard, and “Click number” to type a key. Smart App Control is a new security feature available through the Windows Security app to block untrusted or potentially dangerous applications. Microsoft is working with “electricityMap” and “WattTime” to implement this feature.
What if you don’t update to Windows 11 now?
You’ll want to buy a new Intel-powered Windows 10 laptop if this feature is your top priority. Intel has confirmed IBT will function on an Intel Core 8th-gen processor or newer, or an Intel Pentium or Celeron processor from the “Apollo Lake” generation or newer. A complete compatibility list is not yet available but, speaking broadly, this will include new laptops sold after 2017. Microsoft hasn’t laid out the details of its upgrade plan, but it’s safe to assume this free upgrade will apply to all new Windows 10 laptops currently available.
